Adjusting your Oven's speed

ADJUSTING YOUR OVEN TEMPERATURE

If your oven doesn't seem to cook things in the time that it's supposed to, your oven temperature might not be set correctly.

Put an oven thermometer in your oven, close the door and heat it to 300 degrees F. What does the thermometer read?

If it's not right, pull the big oven temperature knob off the stovetop. You'll notice that the centre pin is hollow. There's a little adjusting screw inside the shaft of that pin. Use a slim screwdriver to adjust the oven's thermostat.

Turn the skrew counterclockwise (left) to increase the temperature, or clockwise to lower it.
