Baked Steak

Baked Steak

Preparation Time: 90 min

Yield: One really great meal !

Pan-fried steak will kill you. A broiled stake is healthier, and takes just as long to cook, but it's not as tender as roasted beef. So I put 2 and 2 together and got 22! Try this slower kinder method of cooking steak.

Preheat oven to 450 F

Rinse and dry steak, preferably Rib Eye

Place on rack and cover one side with your favourite steak sauce

(try plain old Ketchup and a sprinkle of Nutmeg)

Put into oven (toaster is good!)

Reduce heat to 325 F immediately

For Medium Rare: Cook for 60 min under 1/3 pound,

or 90 min if it's over 1/2 pound.

Serve with rice and Crimini mushrooms or potatoes
